Home based intervention provides a flexible and comfortable approach to ABA therapy by allowing our clients to master new skills while in their secure and natural environment without unfamiliar distraction. These services also naturally allow for effortless family engagement, providing opportunities for better caregiver understanding of ABA practices and the individualized treatment plan, without requiring anyone to leave the home. The length of in-home sessions may vary based on symptom severity, clinical recommendation, and/or insurance approval, with more intensive treatment sessions scheduled daily, more frequently, or for longer session intervals.
School-based ABA services, when authorized by insurance providers, focus on improving skills necessary for participation, compliance, and social interaction within the school setting. For early learners, program goals may address areas such as turn taking, completing instructional tasks, attending to teachers and staff, requesting help, or following daily routines. Program goals for older learners may address social skills, communication with teachers and peers, or functional areas specific to an instructional setting.
Community-based or community-inclusive services provide opportunities for clients to practice new or location-specific skills in the natural environment. When approved by insurance providers, various treatment goals can be addressed in both the home and community settings.
Through parent/family training sessions, your consultant will provide instruction on how to implement specific treatment programs between sessions. Parents and caregivers are often the most critical members of a client's treatment team, providing or supervising the majority of opportunities for a client to practice skills addressed during direct therapy sessions. As such, parent/caregiver participation in family therapy sessions is a requirement of enrollment at Imagine ABA, as well as for a growing number of insurance providers. Parent/family sessions are most often conducted in the home while the client and direct therapist are engaged in the session. Your consultant (BCBA) may identify techniques being implemented or skills being addressed as therapy is occurring.
Consultative services related to the implementation of behavior analytic programming within or across instructional settings are provided on a case by case basis. Please contact us with your specific behavioral programming needs.
