Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@imagineaba.com, or gives us a call, if you cannot find an answer to your question.

ABA therapy sessions are conducted by BACB-certified therapists (RBTs) and state-licensed behavior analysts (BCBAs/LBAs) or assistant behavior analysts (BCaBAs/LABAs) applying the science-based principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to address and improve a wide array of behavioral and developmental concerns, including those affecting communication, social abilities, adaptive skills, functional independence, task completion, self-advocacy, personal hygiene, and other behaviors which may jeopardize the health and safety of its clients. ABA therapy is implemented during both naturally-occurring (play) and direct instructional activities, using the techniques of observation, assessment, data collection and analysis, prompting, and reinforcement to individualize treatment and help improve the quality of life of its clients.

Imagine ABA typically serves clients who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or related conditions, and who are aged two to young adulthood.

Imagine ABA accepts clients year-round based on openings and therapist availability. Unfortunately, openings are limited. We strive to enroll and assess clients as swiftly as possible. We kindly ask for your patience as we grow. Here are the steps to our enrollment process:

  1. Enrollment Application Form- To begin, please complete our required enrollment application form, responding to each question with as much detail as possible. The information and documents you provide will assist our team prior to and during the initial consultations. You can find the Enrollment Application Form by clicking on any of the Enroll Now buttons embedded within the website, or by clicking on the Enrollment Form tab.
  2. Complimentary Consultation- Once we have received your enrollment application form, our office staff will contact you to discuss insurance verification, or our private pay options, and schedule a complimentary consultation with our BCBA. During this consultation, our BCBA will further discuss your concerns, your goals, and answer any questions you may have regarding Applied Behavior Analysis and our methods of practice. Once we conclude this interview, you will have a better understanding of the services we provide, and whether or not Imagine ABA is a good fit for your family.
  3. Documents- If you would like to proceed with enrollment, our staff will send an invitation to create an account here on our website. Once you have created your password, you will have access to our "documents" tab, where all necessary enrollment documents may be completed via an online HIPAA protected platform. These forms must be signed and submitted before we are able continue with the enrollment process. Once these enrollment documents have been completed, we will request authorization for an initial assessment from your insurance provider. Once we have received their approval, our office staff will contact you to schedule your child's initial assessment.
  4. Initial Assessment- The initial assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of your child's skills in the areas of behavior, communication, social abilities, adaptive skills, functional independence, task completion, self-advocacy, etc. Our BCBA will conduct the assessment through parent interview, observation, interaction, and direct instructional activities.  Insurance carriers typically require reassessment every six months.
  5. Treatment Plan- Following the assessment, our BCBA will develop a comprehensive individualized treatment plan prioritizing areas of concern identified during the initial assessment process.
  6. Assessment & Treatment Plan Review- You will then receive a copy of the assessment and our clinician's recommended treatment plan for your review. Once we have ensured the treatment plan addresses areas of mutual concern, we will submit the assessment and other required documentation to your insurance carrier for authorization.
  7. Therapy- Once we have received authorization, direct one-on-one therapy will begin. Treatment programs are supervised by our BCBA and typically carried out by our qualified and dedicated RBTs (Registered Behavior Technicians). Your child's team will continuously collect data and record each milestone met to show progress or highlight areas of treatment that may require adjustment, and meet with you frequently to discuss progress, concerns, to collaborate on goal development, and address parent training goals.
